For sale is a ANTIQUE SCHOLTEN PORTRAIT PHOTO OF A BOY IN SUIT CDV / CABINET CARD. This item is in excellent condition. Someone has scratched very lightly on the bottom the card on the front "MILLICK"and "( our pct )". This may be the subjects last name. I do not know. But it would be a good guess. It is mounted on a 6-1/2" by 4-3/16" heavy card stock. The card has a very ornate design on the backside ( see photo ). This item was produced by SCHOLTEN PORTRAITS of ST. LOUIS, MO. They were located at 920 & 922 Olive St. in St. Louis. Printed on back is GRAND GOLD MEDAL PRIZE DATES AND INFO. It reads as follows: St. Louis Merchants Exchange, 1879 - Two First Prizes, AMERICAN INSTITUTE NEW YORK, 1881 - Over all Exhibitors, 17 First Class Prizes at St. Louis Fair Association, 1867, 12 First Class Medals at St. Louis Fair Association, 1874, 4 First Class Medals 1876.
